Jay Corvan, AIA

Jay earned a B. A.  Fine Arts from the University of Vermont and a Masters Degree in Architecture from Catholic University.  Prior to moving to the Eastern Shore, Jay worked in Washington D.C. architectural firms.  Jay’s experience includes commercial and residential historic restoration including the restoration and redevelopment of Union Station in Washington DC (1988-1999)  the Willard Hotel in Washington DC (1981-1986).

Jay has helped conduct Charrettes and planning workshops for small Eastern Shore communities and produced numerous local Architectural Design Standards for the Eastern Shore.

Jay is currently involved in the creation of design guidelines for the Route 50 Corridor and the redesign of the Richardson Maritime Museum in Cambridge Maryland, which will include a fully certified post secondary shipwright educational program, and hopefully bring economic development,  jobs and higher education to the Eastern Shore.
